Mississippians are facing numerous health crises. In fact, Mississippi leads the nation with individuals battling obesity, heart diseases, amputations, hypertension and other ailments, which lower life’s expectancy. To help lengthen your life expectancy, you can change these odds by managing what you consume on a daily basis. We should eat a well-balanced regiment of fresh vegetables and fruits each day. Instead, we are feeding our families hamburgers and fries prepared under three minutes at fast food chains. However, we can start improving our health by participating in an old fashion-canning workshop on Tuesday August 8, 2017, 6pm at Galilee M.B. Church, Carthage, MS. The canning facilitator will use locally grown tomatoes or green beans. Please tell your friends about this event happening at Galilee on August 8 @ 6pm. At this workshop, you can recreate memories from your childhood of shelling peas and butter beans on the front porch with Big Mama. If you want to hear the end of this story please join Pastor Marvin Myles and the Galilee Church Family on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 6pm.
If you need an accommodation to participate in this activity or event, please contact (Latrice Todman) at (662-446-2423), or by e-mail at (tarieltwcshc@gmail.com) by Monday, July 10, 2017.
