After contacting and meeting with the Winston County Self Help Cooperative’s team leader, Frank Taylor, in 2016, Clyde’s dream of being a farm operator (specifically, a goat farmer) started to take form. Through technical assistance and support from the WCSHC, Clyde is a 2017 Small Ruminant Farmer Initiative (SRFI) recipient through NRCS. After signing his contract, Clyde contacted the WCSHC team to share his exciting news. Currently, Allen McReynolds has reviewed Clyde’s contract, and he will ensure that Clyde is represented through this process. If you are interested in becoming a farmer or you are looking to enhance your current farm operation, please contact the WCSHC at (601) 291-2704 or visit WCSHC.com for more information.
