The Carroll County’s Health Advisors Men in Black and Blue Organization is committed to helping save rural America. This Stalwart organization has taken the baton to preserve life in the rolling hills of Carroll County, MS. We have reached the crossroads with our local ambulance service for this sprawling County, according to Claude Elam, President of the organization.

We only have one ambulance providing services for Carroll and Montgomery Counties. This is an unrealistic situation for both underserved communities. This could be a major catastrophe brewing on the horizon. Therefore, the Carroll County Health Advisors Men in Black and Blue Organization, discussed ideas on how to remedy this matter. After several roundtable meetings, we decided to learn how to administer CPR. We know heart attacks occur often in our communities. CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It can help save a life during cardiac arrest, when the heart stops beating or is beating ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs. We believe this certification program will help our communities and provide a lifeline until an emergency service arrives.

The Carroll County’s Heath Advisor Men Black and Blue Organization thanked the Mississippi Delta Community College, Assistant Director of Nursing and Practical Nursing Chair, Veronica Carardine, for providing CPR training. Additionally, Claude conveyed appreciation to Pastor Kevin Anderson and the Eden Chapel CME Church congregation, for sharing their facilities for this holistic event on Saturday, October 24, 2025. Winston County Self Help Cooperative supported this effort to save lives in rural communities.
