Knob Hill Farm is an organic farm operation located in Duncan, KY. Keith McKenzie and his wife are the principal operators. The McKenzies are members of numerous agrarian groups within the construct of central Kentucky. Deacon Keith states, “We are classified as beginning farmers with less than ten years of farming experience.” Keith indicated he had worked on a farm with his relatives as a child in Alabama. “I have always had the urge to be a vegetable producer, and we recently accomplished one of my immediate goals by creating Knob Hill Farm. We have attended numerous agrarian-driven workshops across the state of Kentucky. We have participated in Kentucky State University’s Small Farmers Conference. This yearly gathering offers a magnitude of learning scenarios. Additionally, we have created lifelong friendships that extend beyond the agrarian community.”
Keith continued, “We are beginning organic farmers with a penchant to produce vegetables. We have secured numerous conservation practices through NRCS’ Environmental Quality Incentive Program.”
