The Odom Family kids are putting their hands in the soil and applying the knowledge their mother, Mayla Odom, has gained through her involvement with the Winston County Self Help Cooperative. 2J and Journey worked alongside their mom to build their container garden and prepare the soil together. Through teamwork, learning, and dedication, they are already beginning to see the rewards of their hard work. Their garden is currently growing tomatoes and jalapeño peppers, teaching them the importance of agriculture, responsibility, and the value of growing and feeding themselves through healthy, homegrown food.
