The Carroll County’s Chapter of the “Men in Black and Blue Organization” hosted their annual Health Fair on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the J. Z. George High School Gymnasium in North Carrollton, MS.
Claude Elam, Chapter President lamented about the need for individuals to start monitoring and managing theirs health with a sense of urgency. “We realized some individuals may not have adequate medical insurance coverage, therefore, we provides access to medical resources through our yearly health fair. The Caroll County’s Chapter of the Men in Black and Blue Organization brought the health specialists to the community, where the targeted audience lives.” Henry Matthews, a member of the chapter said “this health fair focused on raising the awareness of prostate cancer. We highlighted the need for our young men to participate in the health fair. Therefore, i brought my grandson with me today and this event provided a wealth of knowledge for him to effectively manage his health.”
Claude emphasized the chapter’s appreciation for the health providers rendering their professional services and vendors for making a difference in rural American. “Today was a collective effort in strengthening our communities by developing healthy families through a community initiative.
We wholeheartedly give thanks to the Fannie Lou Hamer Cancer Foundation based in Ruleville, MS, for providing guidance to help save lives across the South. Also, we convey our appreciation to the Winston County Self Help Cooperative located in Louisville, MS, for supporting our organization mission.”
