Dee Dotson (Mr. Rural America) transitioned last year, in October, at the age of 104. Uncle Dee was one of America’s most noted farmers. As the spring of 2026 approached, individuals started asking who would emulate Uncle Dee’s agrarian skills in producing high-quality, tasty vegetables. The question has been answered. Willie Dee & Willie James have risen above their dad’s shadow and started working together to keep his legacy alive. Willie Dee is the younger brother who manages the farm’s daily activities. Willie James navigates disking and bedding the rows. This formidable tag team is developing an awesome spring garden. Willie Dee said, “Pops is surely smiling from above about our 2026 achievements. We are in the last phases of planting the spring crop. The most challenging work lies ahead, including removing the grass and weeds. Willie Dee reiterated, “Pops would spend the entire day trying to keep the garden spotless. I don’t believe Willie, and I will be that meticulous. However, we will do our utmost to uphold Pops’ reputation of being Mr. Rural America.”
