The Winston County Self Help Cooperative is excited to announce preparations for our 2026 strawberry season are well underway. Under the leadership of Rev. Miller, our team has laid a new weed barrier, a different approach from last year’s season, when we experimented with growing strawberries without one. We have transplanted 1000 strawberry plants.
We’re hopeful that this added step will help us achieve an even better yield this coming season, ensuring healthy plants and a bountiful harvest. The Cooperative continues to build on lessons learned each year, striving to strengthen our local agriculture and community sustainability.
