John Watkin is a local farmer in Newton, Mississippi. He has generously donated more than 1,000 Florida Sweet, sweet potato plants to the Winston County Self Help Cooperative (WCSHC). We are distributing these top-quality plants to home vegetable gardeners and WCSHC members.
Allen McReynolds, the WCSHC support staff, emphasized the benefits of these plants, saying, ‘These are excellent plants, very good for home garden production. They make excellent dishes, such as potato pies, yams, and baked potatoes, and are a great addition to any home garden.’
