Allen McReynolds, WCSHC member, attended the state technical committee meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Farm Bureau Building in Jackson, MS.
The Mississippi State Technical Committee (MSTC) is an advisory group coordinated by the Mississippi State Conservationist to help organize and deliver Farm Bill-related program benefits. General meetings of the MSTC are scheduled once a year or announced for special program activities. Kurt Readus, State Conservationist, greeted farmers and ag leaders with vetted information about the agency’s role and the reduction of employees and funds. Kurt assured attendees that NRCS will continue to deliver services on time. Allen said today’s meeting created clarity and provided guidance as WCSHC moves with its 2026 work plan.
