The afternoons are getting shorter, and the leaves have started falling off the trees. These indicators usually spell the end of summer production. Warner Hall lamented about his 2025 crop. “I believe this has been my best crop in terms of production. This crop season presented some challenges, which included insects and predators; however, we were fortunate to overcome those factors.” Warner said he is tickled to death about his 2025 okra crop. “As of today, I have harvested more than 120 bushels, which will set a new record for the archives. I will continue to harvest over the next couple of weeks.” The Winston County Self Help Cooperative members and others love Warner Hall’s Louisiana Okra. Some individuals boiled, fried, or incorporated the okra into their vegetable meals. These individuals convey their appreciation to Mr. Hall for sharing his tasty vegetables.
