Brookhaven, MS — February 12, 2026 — Restoring Faith (RF), in partnership with the Winston County Self Help Cooperative (WCSHC), hosted the Saving Rural America Conference at the Brookhaven FEMA Building in Brookhaven, Mississippi.
The event brought together more than 60 farmers, landowners, and community members from Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee who share a commitment to strengthening and preserving rural America.
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) — including the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Farm Service Agency (FSA), and Rural Development (RD) — joined experts from Alcorn State University, private industry, and other organizations to provide valuable insights and resources. Key discussion topics included USDA programs and services, heirs’ property and land succession, farm policy participation, and timber management.
In addition to the educational sessions, exhibitors shared resources and information to support participants’ agricultural and land management goals. Several local businesses also contributed door prizes for attendees.
