MSSCG: Chris & Carolyn Jones

Thursday 13 June 2024

Tuesday, June 4, 2024, presented an unfortunate challenge for The Winston County Self Help Cooperative (WCSHC), Mississippi Small Cattle Group (MSSCG), and rural Americans.  We bid Mr. Greg “Gregory” Nicks farewell, and they welcomed him home. We will miss your friendship, leadership, and kindness. You have left your fellow cattlemen with a pathway of opportunities and optimism to continue your earthly legacy.

WCSHC and MSSCG worked with fortitude on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in honor of Greg’s commitment to serve humanity. Allen McReynolds, Dr.Peyton, Walter Jackson, and  Chris & Carolyn Jones carried the torch forward. The MSSCG Team vaccinated and castrated 72 heads of cattle at Chris and Carolyn Jones Farm in Okolona, MS.

The session concluded the spring health initiative program for MSSCG. Allen McReynolds reiterated his appreciation to Michael Truclair, Walter Jackson, and the cattlemen. Additionally, special thanks go to Dr. Llewellyn Peyton and Tri-County Veterinarian Service. I greatly appreciate Dr. Hutchinson and Dr. Necomb for their technical support. We will submit an overall spring report in the upcoming days.
