Fall Planting is Officially Underway at Warner Hall’s Farm in Louisiana

Monday 26 August 2024

The deciduous trees are shedding their leaves, and the afternoons are getting shorter. Warner Hall can hear the buses’ air brakes and the children galloping on the playground. We can hear the coaches barking out plays across St. Helena Parish. These positive vibes have swayed Warner to start planting his fall 2024 garden. Warner has planted peas, beans, turnips, and mustard greens. Additionally, Warner has transplanted onions, cauliflower, collard, and cabbage greens.

“I am ahead of my traditional planning schedule because  I believe the fall growing season has shifted. This crop will help determine my planting schedule for my 2025 crop.” – Warner Hall
