Garden Field Day: Chulahoma

Chulahoma Garden

Meet Tony and Delorise Jones, owners of Chulahoma’s Garden in Holly Springs, MS. This farm is housed in historic Marshall County, which is the home of Ida B. Wells and Rust College, founded in 1866. This mecca of history allows you to learn about your history and living in rural Mississippi.

The Jones family operates an organic farm. They have employed numerous regenerative practices to enhance their soil fertility and specialize in the production of a variety of leafy green vegetables.

During the field day, you will see other conservation methods, including high tunnels with drip irrigation, plastic mulching, and pollination habitats. Special Guest George Zinn, District 4 Supervisor of Marshall County, will attend to inform everyone of what is happening in the county.

This event will take place outside. Please bring your chair.

For more information, please contact Tony Jones (901) 650-1099 or Delorise Jones (901)428-5688.
