Allen McReynolds and the Winston County Self Help Cooperative continued its mission of assisting families in times of uncertainty. Allen McReynolds and the Winston County Self Help Cooperative worked collectively to distribute four thousand pounds of sweet potatoes on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Allen devised a plan of action, and WCSHC multiplied the effort to help families sustain through this rough patch. The co-op members and community volunteers distributed the bounty of potatoes from the co-op’s campus in Louisville, MS. Individuals from Choctaw, Neshoba, and surrounding Counties benefited from the giveaway. Emma Goss, WCSHC member, said, “We are here to help individuals through this moment of crisis. WCSHC donated 169 bags of collard greens in the month of October. We should have another green harvest before Thanksgiving.” Today was an extraordinary opportunity for the co-op and the community to work jointly, according to Frank Taylor, WCSHC Team Leader. “We are appreciative of Allen McReynolds for developing this phenomenal plan to feed needy families. Additionally, we want to convey thanks to WCSHC members and the volunteers for supporting this effort.”Take a look at the photos from the day.
