WCSHC Donates Mustard Greens

Tuesday 10 February 2026

The Winston County Self Help Cooperative is honoring its mission to serve communities. Emma Goss and Arlexis Cunningham-Yarbrough harvested mustard greens from the Co-op’s Campus on Monday, February 9, 2026. The Co-op planted mustard greens in their high tunnel house during the fall of 2025. The high tunnel is a non-heated structure covered with plastic to retain heat from the sun. This energy is stored in the ground as a source to propel growth during cold weather. The recent cold fronts have killed all the outside production; however, WCSHC Strawberry and mustard greens are thriving inside the high tunnel.
